, W6 _2 N: h0 b" `( M) u7 AThe imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels.
% O% ~' X+ m7 C) L% U# q2 ~. ?1 w, m2 s* S
1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms. 0 x- \+ P9 M* F8 j5 ^
2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation.
. v0 }7 [8 E' g; M3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms
4 q8 @5 W* ~# k3 Z4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules.
: W, |" o# V- h* O9 z _" {5 a u5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

Requirements:
a( \! ~/ T* e) V2 E3 y, q( Q8 z' Y1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields
0 X o# G d8 T# ~6 ^2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
! C, t( m: G3 Y& R: h/ y% n3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline + f% z( w% a8 M& p9 L( h( D
4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus
: r, r1 F+ J) @) x3 J5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus 4 V1 y/ K+ K" I. @* q% m
6. Team player with good communication and presentation skills. 7 S( D' G+ W- D+ y$ ^9 g K
