Responsibilities:
7 B4 t2 B# f! @" ?* `6 v4 IThe imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels.

9 U* }5 [2 t. d* E8 [3 c- i1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms.
' U' R% J0 \. j S2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation. 2 N, y" N1 n. V9 v
3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms 1 G2 a, _. P1 f1 \( O' q0 o
4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules. & F$ h' @- e* ?
5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

: Q2 o# @, y7 u! R0 f, e1 }2 x+ \1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields / x* h) {4 }& b9 m1 |7 R
2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
6 j4 t$ q h/ g. F5 W3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline
0 n& V+ K$ y! X) M' t9 @4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus
" A, p' i8 r$ C+ m O2 O6 W- ]5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus 3 I7 D+ v, n9 _7 ?$ b
6. Team player with good communication and presentation skills.
