Responsibilities: , I! t9 ~, B& Y* T' [( E
The imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels. : k. N- b0 i0 g" L
3 U o# n7 I2 N0 g" [3 [$ V/ |; a5 T1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms. ! O8 O* j0 Y; n* Q, J. g; @* ?8 a
2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation.

4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules. 4 ~3 x6 i; z* R
5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

Requirements:
, J! F. [! @( U1 J0 n( `6 }3 a4 `4 m1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields . Y* N5 D" @) z6 s: T' @8 X
2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
" c3 ]& J9 G6 f4 J7 |2 n$ u6 z3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline % q7 r7 d) ]8 S9 d' q
4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus
4 u; F9 w) a7 o. J5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus 4 \ J: d7 k5 d7 \8 s% u
6. Team player with good communication and presentation skills. ; J3 X/ C$ F2 E
