Responsibilities: 1 [9 d- w4 J# x% k% @
The imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels. + f$ A: H5 {8 G7 Q' U% G2 X4 K

1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms.
. ]9 x5 m$ `1 C8 D! l2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation.
4 a- ]: \. h) k% R! O- @9 E$ {2 @3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms
" C7 A7 G: y4 ?9 C- y8 }! X4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules.
* _* n3 R. d- [( Z& r7 i; H& O5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

Requirements: * w. _* h8 J+ P9 ~) n$ m- o
1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields 0 D7 u' i* G1 C. V' \; I
2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
/ r" o2 k+ }, o2 r9 m4 m1 C9 D8 f3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline
# y# R% c( c, t( p% Y! z4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus , d" r W6 ]8 f( }( f# B
5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus / o" h/ _ b" H6 ~* D- Z' F
6. Team player with good communication and presentation skills.
