Want to look for SiliconSmart alternative tool

Dear friends,
My partner company uses SiliconSmart tool for library characterization ( also for I/O) . And now Magma tries to charge a much higher price. Is there anyone using alternative tool in case we cannot get a reasonable business term from Magma? I hear Synopsys has a Liberty NCX tool but it seems nobody uses it. Appreciate your sharing experience in this field.

Actually, it depends on what the purpose you need to use. As I know, there are other tools can do characterized cells. Like, Altos, CLKDA, ExtremeDA, they all provide the cell characterization tools, but for different purposes. If you just want to characterize normal cells' timing or leakage information, I think Altos may be a good choice for you.
