Jitter can be defined as the deviations in a clock’s output transition& M8 J5 E( o6 G: m
from their ideal positions. The deviation can either be leading or4 |6 U/ y( a2 _
lagging the ideal position. Jitter is usually specified in ± pico seconds.; q6 ~0 k$ u; \% \( Y5 e ]
Jitter measurements can be classified into three categories:/ T2 }) C9 s- S n% ?
cycle-to-cycle jitter, period jitter, and long-term jitter. All jitter measurements
