分享一下工作正準備邁入第4年的 FAE工作心得
2 [5 u1 J1 z% Q9 U當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了
' d" m8 {1 b, V; Y6 ]" M1 Z, l
當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

! \& y( l7 e9 H4 i每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

! f: \4 }; Z4 C8 f或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

1 S  S* c8 q4 {2 `/ O% q! {但是由於會接觸到各式各樣的人 其實也算收穫頗多

# g. s5 a' u% F' w7 X$ n然後時間到了就國軍Online了

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

7 a) q3 f6 o6 ]0 X" B6 {當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House
: D, N2 z" I% G" q% n
在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已
- i& d9 Z+ U. N  f
5 M% W+ r& y+ G聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

專業知識也只問了一個Reset的問題 大概是我答的很快吧
( }0 `5 H! c  e5 b! W& d3 L
大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試
% e4 O: H: `) }  L
接下來就是回家等通知嚕!!!!

過了約兩個星期錄取通知寄來了 我就這樣開始了工程師的職涯

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

4 ^& ]/ K3 t: P! R0 e& |& B- t對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證
+ o: H& q4 W2 E! ^
. f1 d7 l+ B0 B& ~7 @& _) S還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的
0 Q- T( m! b+ e5 \' ^! A
我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快

& _; C* i$ ~9 c  I, h! s
* P5 k4 W9 h' S8 vFAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

. C2 o: N0 \, l5 ^有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

6 Y) x2 ^3 b* q' c* k1 V; [8 H+ d因此會交際和實力一樣重要
, P( G# n1 G9 b. E
/ W& c- r$ z; h& ]9 f3 L, p有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

0 `6 j/ R+ U. A5 }! w或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE需要的專業?
4 D) H$ }& N* @; C0 c
; s' x! z( b% S  x. N" Y& L9 kFAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

. c' y# h7 R0 W& w2 Q4 m, U5 G零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路
# J- J& j% j! g' w* T
3 T% E8 }1 h$ G/ S, C3 @% ~看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間
) x3 S1 z" b, w! f) d
專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件
: c; ~( O! P% |# }: l" R
9 N. p& r4 _6 d專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

, s( c* F/ d/ d" \7 P( n. S& y所以最需要的專業 應該是嘴砲技能...XD

FAE的發展
& C/ ~1 V* v9 T5 W  d
* L+ h; R; S8 d" X# {由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多
1 s3 v) S4 A7 p8 F4 P$ y3 Y) n& Y: g
看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的
& X1 d- P, S  f- @& j& t
$ H1 ~0 n( P1 z* g. c( r加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

; u% |  R* g  V以上三點是最主要的發展方向
# |2 p9 r8 v6 {+ a* d" q+ \- E$ W
/ h- a: |' {5 w若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

7 b6 C1 ?" t, n4 ^, ~6 i4 h4 x若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD

對於整體的工作效率會有很大的幫助 一點小小的淺見

# L% _: |# {, s! \0 F4 H& W1 nWorking knowledge of ASIC Implementation (Verilog, Synthesis, P&R, and Timing analysis), including relevant EDA tools and methodologies.
Experience at the system architect level with intimate knowledge of bandwidth analysis, low power design, performance optimization etc
9 T* u5 t4 `# ]  z3 \GPU experience is a plus.

(For Software Candidate)
# [6 V. i) T( f9 n# V6 h5 w7+ years experience in software development is a MUST.  
# j0 i  w8 f. jStrong knowledge and working experience on OS and BSP, for example Linux and/or Android
Working experience on consumer electronic products is a plus.
