5 v6 Y# `& d3 a( |: Imicrocoils with integrated SU-8 channels for NMR
( h# E- V  A4 y+ E- L- T4 cspectroscopy is presented.
These Helmholtz microcoils demonstrate superior NMR
performance regarding spin excitation uniformity compared
; {1 k# b, t* |& l! l8 P; Pto planar microcoils. The improved spin excitation
$ X5 ]# S! ]6 i# F: L  M# Duniformity opens the way to advanced chemical analysis
using complex RF-pulse sequences.
, u$ M3 w, S, u+ }( [. v$ bThe fabricated Helmholtz coils have Q-factor greater than
20 due to electroplated coil turns and vias, which connect the
$ K! z( r, P1 iupper and lower turns. The laminated SU-8 microchannel
: ]' `5 j7 I: U5 gtechnology allows the implementation of further fluidic
  H; ?' k0 u( `. Yfunctions. Analyzing living cells, mechanical filters can be
" _! S  D% C0 b" t$ lintegrated for sample concentration and enhanced detection.
