所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

3 B9 o& [9 x* ~& w他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
0 @7 Z% x' k  m4 z) u5 Q雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
8 |# v  a# J" s& k: F只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

要學歷沒學歷 要專業沒專業 英文也是不太行
去那邊不就是死路一條!  還是說可以過去那邊邊做邊學

AE工作內容：

' ]9 y: e  l4 z* ?* p8 o. y原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
' x! o$ w' |) x) S: a  ?也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
2.layout review
% N6 E( c" j. Z/ M& r6 H# B, b+ m% D原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
1 ^- w* C  l+ N. A: L現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。
4.Training
9 V. h( n: t$ d教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
sales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。
5.Documentation
IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。

不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
& Y' K! I* K) b0 j9 d1 j溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的

無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都

4.EQ能力
9 k& Z: j5 Q) Y8 o- ~" J! r- UAE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
6 b7 j6 w8 ~: S9 [2 g常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。
5.多工及管理能力
通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配

AE的背景與出路：

目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
  N+ t3 o4 q! X; h  m6 n合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
4 u# [. t1 D- m7 P3 R出路：
# v( [4 j" h: \0 l) CAE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
4 d, E: G8 s' z8 w9 A" n' Z往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
AE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
7 w5 Q% ^( D6 p( f* z薪水：
0 T' i( \6 z( t. _7 f一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：

不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

! J. j+ H4 Y- }) r- A# H8 I/ ?7 V$ E那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

6 N, e0 I- U4 p! P$ M- l/ j, n: a當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

3 I% _; I8 R9 S/ N* a) l雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

# z" a& z3 ~: P  V" k! G但是由於會接觸到各式各樣的人 其實也算收穫頗多

然後時間到了就國軍Online了

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

2 e  S* \! X0 d" Z! u當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

# M) n9 f+ W( `+ f0 m4 }$ Q聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

3 ]- @0 @  X3 \- Q4 r7 f大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快

FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

$ }7 X+ y2 ?2 _0 m- f9 q有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

因此會交際和實力一樣重要

有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

1 q$ |6 L$ d/ `/ f或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

  d5 P, a2 y" `3 x再來才是考慮自己的專業能力夠不夠

FAE需要的專業?

FAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

/ ?! ^0 Y$ K& _  M2 l! q6 x( D% N專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

所以最需要的專業 應該是嘴砲技能...XD

FAE的發展

( V1 }7 s7 c  |3 o由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

# y! A* s" B' c3 k- R看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

1 S. Q0 l3 E: ]: ~加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

以上三點是最主要的發展方向

5 o( c: n1 h! d8 o, U1 O' s若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
