事情是這樣的 小弟目前是一年經驗的H/W QA
之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
, e( \' O( l* \8 T# D3 z8 C7 Q* R( P所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
- Z4 z6 S; m1 i8 h$ e6 C雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
. i6 T. P5 a+ x+ x只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

8 C: u) y: R# r) x! C* i5 r要學歷沒學歷 要專業沒專業 英文也是不太行
去那邊不就是死路一條!  還是說可以過去那邊邊做邊學

AE工作內容：

7 G9 E8 ~* w! O" y, k7 d3 Q原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
6 t2 X6 Q1 m3 B( }2.layout review
原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。
4.Training
教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與

IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
- K5 }+ A- z% q* B9 ~( b根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
/ K" t. ?( l( T0 [快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。
+ j& ?! a# R' f3 Y- [: M: k- d2.溝通能力
不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
+ @& ?5 h2 N0 l# A) r  J; c, M溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
% F3 i- i, g9 K9 o2 G" G5 m, z工作事半功倍。
3.語言能力
無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
7 H) j1 q$ e3 Y2 g: @( E會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
4.EQ能力
2 E6 ]( I8 X' N: \0 v4 v6 [4 XAE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
$ _/ I( }# z7 u, X- ^1 b良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。
5.多工及管理能力
. q( A* W$ w4 F! [通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配
時間及資源也是很重要的。

AE的背景與出路：
背景：
" v7 J+ h$ d- y1 S* R目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
5 @- R: c! W" a, g0 J; ~4 d% j' W) M* V三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
出路：
- L; {* p5 b) o" A7 h% x9 W0 wAE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
AE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。

$ H: u( y( h; u. k一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：

0 E3 Y2 N* v3 W3 b+ q不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

( P6 ?; w. y2 ~# X/ y5 Z4 X; \/ r$ P當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

7 F9 ^& p2 R9 ?' g% N那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

% F9 R4 f. [: u. N% x雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

6 c* r7 `, l) S* }7 Z) b$ N由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE需要的專業?

  u' }) Y4 B# D5 X6 rFAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

# _. M6 w& v" c8 T零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路
" B7 W4 g$ s( s/ G* I, _: k5 m6 T
* I* i5 t; v7 T# K0 H( R看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

' p9 ^5 ]) L4 P# s1 d; w專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

3 \! v( q6 S4 E專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

FAE的發展

* L' R5 b# W) X# ~0 a& n& T由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

; H6 _7 _, `1 D; ?* Z看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

  j/ d/ b, U4 ?+ ~% w6 g% h# p4 _以上三點是最主要的發展方向

若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

4 [" C  n: x" d- S0 o) Y% `2 o因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
